As with all insurance policies, there are terms and conditions that apply to the Cancer Essentials cover and it is advisable to ensure you know exactly what is eligible for cover prior to taking out a policy.

It is clearly stated within these terms and conditions that AVIVA will not pay any benefits for any member who has been diagnosed with, treated for or suffered with cancer prior to joining the policy whether or not the previous cancer is related to any subsequent diagnosis.
