What is covered in relation to Dental treatment in your core cover?
There is no cover under your private medical insurance with AXA PPP for routine dentistry whether on the NHS or private treatment is taken unless you have the Extra Care add-on or the Dentist and Optician cashback option added to your cover Business Health Select policy.
What dental cover is available with the Extra Care add-on?
If you have chosen the Extra Care add-on with your core cover then you are entitled to full cover for oral surgery providing that your use a facility that AXA have an agreement with to cover oral surgery. This Oral surgery cover is only available if your dentist has referred you for treatment.
The Oral surgery treatment will cover for the following:
- Re-inserting your own teeth after a trauma
- Surgical removal of impacted teeth, buried teeth and complicated buried roots
- Removal of cysts in the jaw which can be referred to as enucleation
What are you covered for with the Dentist and Optician cashback option?
Dentist fees are covered up to £400 per year and AXA PPP will pay 80% of the dentist fees
Optician fees are covered up to £200 per year and AXA PPP will pay 80% of the cost of prescription glasses or contact lenses.
Eye Tests: Your employees can claim up to £25 per year for an eye test.
