Who is Eligible for a policy?

The Hospital Self-Pay cash plan is available to anyone between the ages of 18 and 69 inclusive providing you are living in the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands. Children under the age of 18 can be included on the policy providing they live in the same address.

What types of treatment are covered?

  • Diagnostic Cover including private GP consultations and diagnostic tests including CT, MRI and PET scans
  • In and Day patient self-pay packages arranged by the hospital to treat your condition
  • Therapies including physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathy.

As with all insurance policies, terms and conditions will apply. As an example, diagnostic tests are covered providing they have been referred by a consultant. All treatment you have must be supported by a referral from an eligible medical professional (this does not apply to private GP appointments)

Are there policy exclusions?

There are exclusions and limitations to the policy and these include things like:

  • Accident and Emergency Treatment
  • Chronic Conditions
  • Cosmetic Treatment
  • Pre-existing Medical Conditions
  • Pregnancy, childbirth and fertility
