Health Cash Plans

Health Cash Plans

A Cash Plan is an affordable healthcare policy for everyone. It offers its members cash back against everyday health care costs. Cash Plans are available on an Individual or Company basis with tailored Cash Plans available to larger corporate schemes. Some of the Cash Plan policies available do not exclude cover for pre-existing conditions and offer up to 100% cash back to the benefit level chosen.

There are many providers of Cash Plans in the UK and each offer different benefit levels and cash back percentages. Child dependents are often covered free until the age of 18. It is important to compare the benefits available from each provider to ensure your know what you are covered for in the event that a claim is made.

What benefits are available on a Cash Plan?

Although each provider has their own table of benefits; some of which are available on a modular basis, below is an example of the type of benefits that could be taken on a health Cash Plan:

  • Dental
  • Optical
  • Therapies (physiotherapy/osteopathy/chiropractic)
  • Chiropody
  • Hospital cash benefits
  • Prescription charges
  • Dental Accident
  • Personal Accident Protection
  • Holistic Therapies
  • Health Screening
  • 24/7 Counselling
  • Virtual GP
  • Specialist consultations
  • PMI excess cover
  • Day surgery cash payments.

Tailored Policies for corporate schemes

If you have a business with *100 employee’s or more, you can choose a tailored cash plan for your business. By choosing the benefits that are important to you and your staff, you do not have to pay for benefits that you do not need or may have covered on an existing health insurance policy.

*100 employees is a guideline, some Cash Plan providers are flexible on the numbers for tailored schemes.

Cover for your Private Medical Insurance Excess

If you choose to cover the excess from your Private Medical Insurance (PMI) on your Cash Plan this means that you can claim back the excess paid on the PMI policy when a claim is made. You benefit from a lower premium on the Private Medical Insurance cover and you are not out of pocket as you know this will be reimbursed by your Cash Plan provider providing the treatment you have had was eligible for cover under your Private Medical Insurance policy.

The benefits available on a health Cash Plan are extensive and with the cost of a policy much lower than that of a Private Medical Insurance policy, it becomes more accessible and affordable; a great way to save money on their everyday healthcare costs.

You must ensure that any treatment you have is completed by a professional person who holds the qualifications as stated by your own Cash Plan provider. Claims made for treatment with a therapist or healthcare professional who is not qualified would be rejected. With so many benefit categories available, please check the terms and conditions relating to the category you wish to claim from prior to registering the claim.
